Collaborating with London designer Ilse Crawford, IKEA is set to launch a range of cork and natural-fibre homeware products.
IKEA has always given me the impression of maximising efficiency and pricing over aesthetic. That’s not to say their furniture are ugly, but they’re not the most appealing products around. But they’re functional and provides a good starting point for people (like me) who can’t afford premium items.
This is a promising partnership and it signals a greater push for IKEA to improve the design quality of its products.
