Oyster just rolled out a new feature called Lumin. With Lumin, it reduces the blue light that emits from our digital screen. In short, it’s better for our eyes and body, and enhances the reading experience.
Like f.lux, it adjust the display according to the time of the day – sunlight during the day and warm at night. It eliminates (mostly) the glaring screen when working deep into the night.
I would love to try Oyster books out, but too bad it’s only available in the US. International expansion is definitely in the pipeline for business model like them, but there’s no clear indication that it will be anytime soon.
